Hello there, lovely.

My name is Allison Weeks Thomas.

I'm a mom of two amazing kiddos and two super furry Great Pyrenees, wife on one Wild Bill. 

 

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, filling spiral bound notebooks full of stories and illustrations. I love fantasy movies (here's looking at you my beloved, Labyrinth) YA supernatural  and horror books, vintage furniture and strange peculiar finds  at antique stores, and art from Frida Kahlo and Monet to Modigliani and Dali to more contemporaries like Audrey Kawasaki and Michael Reyes (and more, but  we really don't have the time for all that ). I'm all over the place with my "taste"!

I like to run when I'm not too busy twisting my ankle. I love to play board games with my family( Unstable Unicorns and anything trivia I am there!). And of course, I love to draw, be it with pen and paper or my iPad. I'm slowly learning oil painting. I wanted to be a children's book author and illustrator when I grew up, but I still haven't grown up yet so that's ok. I curretnly live in the rolling hills of NoVa not too far from DC., but am quite nomadic once calling Asheville , NC, Colorado, Los Angeles and the Space Coast home (to name a few!)

I attended UNC-Wilmington  (Studio Art) and the Savannah College of Art and Design where I earned an MA in illustration Design.
